There is a setting in your output pages called 'show weights on this output page' (about halfway down) that you can check! This will cause the weight to show up as if it is a part.
If you're wanting the preview the weight of the entire order for shipping purposes, we have a really simple workaround for that!
Simply create a new custom shipping method for internal use only! In the shipping method formula, reference the {weight} variable which will total up the weight for the entire order.
To check this on a regular order, change the shipping method from the customer-selected option to the custom method you created. You'll see the weight show up in the Shipping price line. Convert back to the customer's preferred shipping method!
